The Dunlap Eagles now control the Mid-Illini softball standings halfway through conference play after a big win over Metamora on Tuesday.

Elsewhere in softball, other Mid-Illini games brought intrigue, Tri-Valley and Dee-Mack used late go-ahead runs to win and a trio of Bloomington/Normal area squads won. Illini Bluffs and Peoria Notre Dame won conference games in baseball while Brimfield/Elmwood, Normal U-High and Tremont extended win streaks.

Dunlap took on Washington in a key Mid-Illini girls soccer battle and Bloomington/Normal’s Intercity meets headlined a big day for track and field.

Check out all of the scores, recaps and top performers from the day in Tuesday’s edition of The Roundup!
