Thursday’s preps slate in Central Illinois was packed with events on the diamond, soccer pitch, track, tennis courts and lacrosse fields.
Illini Bluffs won key games in baseball and softball while PND, Limestone, Normal West and Olympia were baseball and girls soccer winners. IVC’s Max Gregory threw a gem in a win over Pontiac.
Brimfield/Elmwood softball recorded its third no-hitter – all from different pitchers – of the young season and Olympia and Bloomington Central Catholic earned decisive wins as well. Intercity soccer continued with other area soccer powers winning and it was a busy day of track and field, lacrosse and tennis as well.
