The Roundup, April 30, 2025: Canton, Metamora walk-off Mid-Illini wins, Washington baseball sweeps East Peoria

A few raindrops couldn’t stop most conference games in baseball and softball on Wednesday as Canton softball and Metamora baseball won evenly-matched Mid-Illini games via walk-offs.

Washington and Morton grabbed key conference wins in baseball, Peoria Notre Dame and Tremont kept rolling and IVC won a marathon game. Three area Heart of Illinois Conference teams won in softball and Bloomington Central Catholic and Brimfield/Elmwood stayed hot. 

All three Central Illinois boys lacrosse teams were in action, plus several boys tennis and girls soccer teams as well.
