Tuesday was one of the busiest days of the 2026 spring sports season in the area with lots of action across seven different sports.

Richwoods’ Jarek Quinn threw a no-hitter to give Richwoods baseball its first win of the season while Normal West, Tremont and Eureka were other notable victors in baseball. Washington, Brimfield/Elmwood, Dunlap and Normal West were among several softball squads to win conference matchups while Dee-Mack, Normal U-High and Bloomington Central Catholic —which also threw a no-hitter— put up lots of offense in non-conference wins.

A trio of Normal schools plus Dunlap and Morton headlined the best of the day in girls soccer and a hefty amount of track and field teams were in action at various mini-meets. A handful of lacrosse teams in the area faced off against local rivals and boys tennis featured action as well.
