The Roundup, Aug. 27, 2025: Scrivner, Schreurs headline big day for Washington, trio of Mid-Illini teams win in volleyball

Washington earned impressive wins on the soccer pitch and on the golf course on Wednesday. The Panthers won big at Babcook Field behind five goals from Hudson Scrivner while Washington’s Gavin Schreurs narrowly won the PND Invite in boys golf as an individual while also helping his team to a win in a competitive field.
Four other area soccer teams were victorious and a trio of Mid-Illini schools plus Midland chalked up wins in volleyball.
Eureka boys golf had a record-breaking day at Kaufman Park Golf course and Canton and Normal Community were among the top team performers in girls golf.
