Friday night in Central Illinois high school sports could be summed up in one word: scrimmages.
With the IHSA allowing “Week 0” football scrimmages against different opponents and limited to 48 plays, numerous area squads took advantage. Area scrimmages included Peoria High vs. Washington, East Peoria vs. IVC, Canton vs. Manual, Farmington vs. Eureka and more although no score was kept at many of them.
Many intrasquad scrimmages were held in other sports such as volleyball as well. In official competition, Dunlap polished off a solid effort at the Bloomington Best Ball Tournament.

In girls golf
At Bloomington: Dunlap took second place at the Bloomington Best Ball Tournament at Highland Golf Course with a 159. Sydney Hunt and Audrey Aprahamian came in at third overall with a 76. The Eagles have either won or finished runner-up in all three of their tournaments so far this season.
