Washington has rolled its fall sports success over into the winter season with both its girls and boys basketball teams putting up wins on Thursday to continue their strong starts.
The Panthers girls squeaked out an overtime win over a state power while the boys handled business more easily against Pekin. PND, Richwoods and Dee-Mack’s girls hoops teams were victorious in games that pitted area powers against each other and Eureka boys had a good night at the Colmone Classic.
Olympia, Dunlap and Illini Bluffs were among the night’s big winners in boys wrestling.
