Hoops action in Central Illinois featured a mix of conference, non-conference and holiday tournament games on Monday.
Six area boys teams won, including Eureka, East Peoria and Canton who all stayed hot, plus Washington, Heyworth and Dunlap, who was also a winner on the girls’ side. Fieldcrest and Metamora both won at the Ottawa Holiday Tournament on the girls side with Richwoods and PND winning their first games at holiday tournaments in the Chicago suburbs.
Canton wrestling had a strong day in Palatine with multiple top finishers.
