The girls basketball regular season is officially in the books as teams got their final tune-up before postseason play begins with regional quarterfinals on Saturday.


Among Thursday’s highlights were Washington’s Avery Tibbs reaching 2,000 career points in a big Panthers road win, Tri-Valley clinching the Heart of Illinois Conference title and El Paso-Gridley pulling a big upset over Dee-Mack.
