Severe cold forced the cancellation of many school days and subsequent athletic events in Central Illinois but a few teams braved the cold and hit the floor.
El Paso-Gridley and Fieldcrest won close matchups in Heart of Illinois Conference Tournament quarterfinal games on the boys side while Richwoods, Delavan and Peoria Heights all found the win column as well.East Peoria, Tremont and Dee-Mack all hit the mats in boys wrestling as well.
