Saturday was all about making history for several Central Illinois high school sports teams.
Morton girls soccer and Dunlap softball wrapped up their best seasons in program history as the Potters placed second in Class 2A and the Eagles finished fourth in Class 3A. East Peoria baseball broke a sectional title drought spanning over five decades and Brimfield/Elmwood baseball won a sectional plaque in walk-off fashion. Normal U-High and Tremont also won and advanced to super-sectional games that will be played on Monday.
