The Roundup, March 30, 2026: Lippens’ no-hitter, Ahrens’ cycle, Post’s walk-off, LaFollette’s late goal lead busy Monday

Every spring sport was in action on Monday and outstanding performances were everywhere to be found.


Dunlap’s Carter Lippens threw a no-hitter in a win over PND, East Peoria’s Jackson Ahrens hit for the cycle for the second straight game and nearly did it a third time, Normal U-High’s Makenzie Post delivered a walk-off victory while being down to her last strike and PND’s Ava LaFollette gave her team a big win in soccer over Morton. 


Other highlights from the day include El Paso-Gridley, Bloomington Central Catholic and Canton winning in baseball and softball, Washington baseball winning big, Intercity girls soccer kicking off plus a tri-meet in track and field with Eureka, Metamora and PND.
