The Roundup, May 21, 2025: State tickets punched in boys track, IVC wins wild comeback, many schools advance in playoffs

A big day of high school sports in the Peoria and Bloomington/Normal area was led by six sectional meets in boys track, where many athletes secured state berths. 


Regional action continued in baseball, softball and soccer as IVC pulled out a crazy comeback win after its season was down to its last breath and Normal U-High and Illini Bluffs won in baseball and softball among many other notable games. Peoria Notre Dame, Normal West, Normal Community and Washington all won in shutouts to begin their playoff runs and Bloomington-Normal won first round playoff games in boys and girls lacrosse.
