An action-packed Saturday had plenty of stakes across all sports, including the football, cross country, tennis and soccer postseason and conference meets in girls swimming and diving.

Farmington was the lone football team in the CSM coverage area to advance on Saturday while Peoria Notre Dame and Eureka suffered close losses. Washington won a thriller of a regional championship in boys soccer and Illini Bluffs also brought home hardware.

Cross country regionals were in full swing with many area teams and individuals moving on to sectionals next week. Dunlap’s Anna Yu wrapped up at the IHSA State Finals in girls tennis and Peoria Notre Dame and Washington highlighted area girls swim teams.
