The Roundup, Sept. 19, 2026: Volleyball, cross country, golf, soccer, flag football, tennis and swimming highlights big day
Another Saturday in the fall meant plenty of tournaments and games across multiple sports, including in volleyball as Illini Bluffs and Olympia were among the day’s top performers.
Washington and Dunlap won key non-conference games in boys soccer and Normal U-High’s boys golf team, led by Jack Quinn, won the Pekin Dragon Classic, one of the area’s biggest golf tournaments of the season.
Manual and Richwoods were victorious in flag football and Eureka, IVC and Elmwood/Brimfield all won in cross country meets. Dunlap and Normal Community had strong showings in girls tennis and Metamora led three area teams at Normal Community’s Iron Invite in girls swimming and diving.
