The Roundup, Sept. 22, 2026: PND wins Big 12 golf titles, Limestone, Tri-Valley win big conference volleyball games
Conference implications were all over the place on Tuesday with multiple conference tournaments in boys golf and several big conference matches in volleyball and soccer leading the action.
Peoria Notre Dame made it a boys and girls sweep at the Big 12 Conference Tournaments while Tri-Valley and Bloomington Central Catholic girls also won their conference tournaments. Conference champion golfers from the area included Richwoods’ Shane Cunningham, PND’s Josie Heffron and Tri-Valley’s Elle Filarski.
Limestone and Tri-Valley each won massive conference games in volleyball while Metamora, PND and El Paso-Gridley each won notable contests. PND continued its winning ways in boys soccer and both Canton and Richwoods won conference games in 1-0 fashion. Cross country, girls swimming and diving and girls tennis were all in action too.
