The Roundup, Sept. 23, 2025: Tri-Valley, Limestone volleyball, PND soccer notch key wins, several teams and individuals win conference golf tournaments

An action-packed Tuesday of rivalry games, key conference battles and conference golf tournaments made for a big day of highlights in Peoria and Bloomington/Normal.
On the volleyball court, Limestone, Washington, Elmwood and Tremont won in three sets while Normal U-High and Tri-Valley won key games in sweeps. The top four teams in the Mid-Illini soccer standings cruised to big wins but Peoria Notre Dame won the biggest game of the night against rival Richwoods.
The Big 12, Heart of Illinois, Illini Prairie and Inter-County conferences all held their conference golf tournaments on Tuesday. Peoria Notre Dame, Eureka and Brimfield were all champions on the boys side with Richwoods’ Shane Cunningham, Fieldcrest’s Carter Senko, BCC’s Vaughn Oakey and Peoria Christian’s Drew Gama winning conference titles. In girls golf, Normal Community, Tri-Valley and Illini Bluffs won their conferences as the Iron’s Savanna Siegrist, the Vikings’ Elle Filarski and the Tigers’ Sara Finn taking home individual titles.
