The Roundup, Sept. 24, 2026: Dunlap, Pekin win Mid-Illini golf titles, Illini Bluffs volleyball wins key ICAC contest
Golf conference tournaments in the area wrapped up with the Mid-Illini on Thursday with both boys’ and girls’ sides seeing plenty of high-level play.
Dunlap won the boys tournament by two strokes and Washington’s Court Bohanon defeated Pekin’s Colin Kemp in a 3-hole playoff. Pekin edged Dunlap by one stroke in the girls tournament but Eagles star Sydney Hunt won her second straight conference championship with a 71.
Volleyball saw many conference games in the Big 12, Heart of Illinois and Mid-Illini with Morton, Richwoods, Illini Bluffs and Tremont leading the way. Morton’s Claire Ceresa also reached 1,000 career digs. In boys soccer, the action shifted to non-conference play with Normal U-High and Peoria Christian putting up shutout wins. Cross country, flag football and girls tennis also had action.
