The Roundup, Sept. 25, 2026: Wins from Pekin, Olympia, Normal Community headline Week 6 football slate
Two-thirds of the high school football regular season is in the books and Pekin, Olympia and Normal Community headlined the night’s big winners.
Pekin squeezed by Metamora in a thriller, Olympia fired on all cylinders to beat state-ranked Williamsville and Normal Community blew by Peoria High in the first half.
Bloomington, Dunlap and Tremont all won close games while Normal U-High and IVC got their first wins of the season. Several milestones were reached from standout players, including Normal West’s Cody Muhlbauer, Olympia’s Jimmy Lollar and Midland volleyball's Anna McGlasson.
Outside of football, soccer, volleyball and golf had events as well.
