The Roundup, Sept. 9, 2026: Dunlap golf teams have strong showings, U-High wins 10th straight Intercity title
Wednesday was a big day for golf in the area and Dunlap was at the forefront of it as its boys and girls teams both won tournaments.
Medalist Nolan Eccles led the Eagles to a win at the IVC Invite, which featured other strong showings from Richwoods, Peoria Notre Dame, Morton and more, while Sydney Hunt and the Dunlap girls golf team both won big at TPC Deere Run.
Normal U-High girls golf won its 10th straight Intercity title and Brimfield, El Paso-Gridley, Tremont, Metamora and IVC all won on the links as well.
Elsewhere, a trio of volleyball teams plus Metamora boys soccer, Richwoods flag football and Normal Community girls tennis earned victories.
