2024 Boys Basketball Preview: IVC looks to push the pace with experienced, size-heavy roster

There’s four seasons in Chillicothe: spring, summer, fall and Morrow. Entering his sixth year as head coach of IVC boys basketball, Quinn Morrow and the Grey Ghosts will look to build on a solid 2023-24 season and take the next step up.


The Grey Ghosts were heavy on scoring last season as a result of their team’s fast style of play, and an exciting brand of basketball. Morrow concedes his team will have to turn it up a notch defensively, but believes they can win games by beating teams in high-scoring battles this season.


IVC has plenty of reasons to draw comparisons to a sleeping giant – both figuratively and literally. The Grey Ghosts boast size not frequently seen in Class 2A and return nearly all of their varsity experience from a season ago.
