2024 Girls Basketball Preview: Fieldcrest relying on play around perimeter to carry young, but seasoned Knights 

Fieldcrest girls basketball is beginning to enter a new era. After back-to-back 30-win seasons followed by a 21-9 campaign in 2023-24, most of the Knights’ key players from those teams have since moved on. 

But despite a young roster of nine girls, including three returning starters and only one senior, the team still feels like there is significant potential to build off of last season. Even in the rugged Heart of Illinois Conference, Fieldcrest is not to be underestimated due to their tenacity and effective team play.
