The storied coaching career of Bob Becker and tradition of Morton girls basketball continued last season with an outright Mid-Illini title as well as a regional title for the Potters. This year, Becker believes Morton not only could repeat as conference champions, but they could once again be a team to look out for deep into the postseason.

Morton will be led by senior guard Ellie VanMeenen, who throughout her first three years as a Potter has contributed to highly competitive Morton teams. She will look to do the same this season with younger sister and sophomore forward Abby VanMeenen, who looks to be a breakout candidate this season. Sophomore forward Paige Selke will look to build off her impressive freshman campaign with an even better season this year.
