ELMWOOD — Time and again, Elmwood/Brimfield football boils down to one word: culture.

That then spills over into building a winning tradition on the football field, where the team has made 21 playoff appearances, including a Class 2A berth last season. The common denominator is head coach Todd Hollis, who has led the Trojans to 18 of those postseason appearances.
He credits last year’s large senior class in helping pass down that positive culture.
“We had a great summer, we have a group of guys that enjoy being around each other,” Hollis said. “I told our captains that graduated that one of the first times we got together in the spring, guys were laughing and having a good time.”
“And I said, ‘That's a reflection on the groups that came before them.’ It was fun for them and they set a pretty good standard and these guys are living up to that.”
