2025 Football Preview: Heyworth aiming for big bounce-back season

HEYWORTH — Experience is the name of the game for the Heyworth football team.
And there’s reason to believe that can translate to the win column with roughly a quarter of its roster entering its senior season.
“Anytime you can bring back an experienced team, you feel like you're a little bit ahead,” coach Scott Godfrey said. “So I feel like the leadership and expectations have been a little bit accelerated just based on how many we have returning.”
The Hornets boast 11 seniors in total, a promising sign for a program looking to jump back into the postseason for the second time in three seasons.
