2025 Football Preview: Young talent, strong culture help El Paso-Gridley reload

EL PASO, IL — The sound of whistles, the thud of shoulder pads, and the smell of freshly cut grass signal that football is back in El Paso-Gridley. 


As the Titans prepare for the 2025 season, the air is thick with both anticipation and determination. EPG has spent recent years battling in one of Illinois’ most competitive small-school conferences and has the opportunity to compete for its fifth straight playoff berth since head coach Tanner Benedict took over. 


However, Benedict has made it clear that the Titans are not content to simply compete. His message to the team during summer workouts was direct: the time for excuses is over.
