2025 Volleyball Preview: Morton hungry for more success with plethora of stars returning

MORTON — With its streak of winning seasons now at eight, Morton volleyball has etched itself in the category of can’t miss teams every year.
After placing fourth at the Class 3A state finals in 2023, the Potters followed it up with a Mid-Illini Conference title and 28-win campaign that ended in a three-set loss in the sectional semifinals.
Coming into this season, they return several solid upperclassmen on all areas of the court, including three all-conference juniors Rebekah Stock, Claire Ceresa and Abby VanMeenen. Those players were part of the team’s state run two years ago and will shepherd in a group talented underclassmen
Following a competitive summer and having enough playmakers to keep even the best teams off-balance, the stars are aligning for Morton to be dangerous yet again.
