2025 Volleyball Preview: Eureka welcomes brand new lineup in search of regional title

EUREKA — After winning the Heart of Illinois Conference Tournament in 2024, Eureka volleyball will rely on a new group of impact players in its efforts for a repeat. On top of that, the Hornets are searching for something more.
One of Central Illinois’ most consistent teams with four straight 20-win campaigns, they’re still looking for their first regional title since 2018 after getting bounced by Class 2A state qualifier El Paso-Gridley in the regional championship last year.
Head coach Lena Dohner looks to rely on several returners from 2024 who are now stepping into starting roles, including seniors Isabelle Axelson and Brooke Spangler.
