BARTONVILLE — Mia Lamberti was one of the few Limestone volleyball players that didn’t cry after the Rockets’ three-set loss in last year’s Class 3A state title game.
Maybe it was because the pride for her team was greater than the sorrow they felt. Maybe the loss hadn’t sunk in yet. However, it may have been because she knew that the Rockets can make it back.
Limestone returns most of its chips to the table after last year’s historic season, meaning a repeat trip to state is certainly in the cards.
Lamberti, an IVCA second-team all-stater and Illinois commit, and fellow junior Bryn Williamson give the Rockets a familiar and highly-effective 1-2 punch on their attack. Senior libero Khloe Stear is also back in the fold after earning first-team all-conference and all-state honors as well.
With a strong group of blooming talent, confidence that has carried over into the 2025 season and t-shirts that say ‘Rock Solid’ on them, the Rockets look to be just that again.
Hear from head coach Shelly Stoner, Lamberti, Stear and Williamson in Limestone volleyball’s season preview below:
