2025 Soccer Preview: ‘This is the year’ for Limestone as Rockets continue upward trajectory

BARTONVILLE — The results started to show up for Limestone soccer in the 2024-25 season as both its boys and girls soccer programs became contenders on the pitch.
Those results led to the Rockets’ boys team notching their most wins in a season (15) since 1993 and finishing third in the Mid-Illini. And this year, the Rockets are ready for even more success with over a dozen returning seniors.
Limestone boasts three all-conference and all-sectional players in Camden Yeske, Joey Shields and Connor Heskett, plus speed, confidence and their starting goalkeeper returning as well. They believe that with all those pieces together, a regional title can be won and history can be made.
