2025 Volleyball Preview: Richwoods to fill new gym with new lineup as Knights move to 4A

PEORIA — Richwoods’ gym, affectionately dubbed “The Castle”, has a new appearance this fall following updates to its floor and bleachers.
The first team to play in the upgraded gym will also have a new look to it as well.
The Knights’ volleyball team is preparing for the 2025 season by looking to fill the shoes of eight departed seniors with several of last year’s backups ready to step into the spotlight alongside returning all-conference players Londyn Sommerville and Zoe Louderman.
The Knights possess ample size at the net, a key strength against several big hitters and blockers in the Big 12 and have set goals to finish higher than a fifth-place showing in the conference last season.
