2026 Football Preview: Talented BCC squad eyes deeper postseason run

BLOOMINGTON — Being a 101-year old program, one word comes to mind when mentioning Bloomington Central Catholic football: tradition.
The Saints added to their tradition last year by going undefeated in the regular season and winning the Illini Prairie Conference title with a slew of talented players. Several of them graduated, several of them return and even more are eager to keep carrying the torch.
“I think the biggest thing about Central is the tradition and basically how everybody carries that,” senior wide receiver and defensive back Crayton Schnierle said. “If they're a freshman up to senior year, everybody knows the standard, the tradition and we keep that tradition all the way through.”
Speaking of that talent, the Saints still have plenty of it in 2026.
