2026 Volleyball Preview: Big junior class looks to key Illini Bluffs to another dominant season

GLASFORD – Illini Bluffs volleyball started the season strong with a 2-0 win at East Peoria on Aug. 25. It’s a fitting start for a program that finished 26-4 last year.
Head coach Quincy Thompson is starting her fourth season at Illini Bluffs and brings back a team led by one senior, Kelsey O’Connor and a strong group of juniors, including Emerson Eeten, Maddie Stephens and Addie Woertz.
With most key players returning, Thompson says the early focus is on improving the fundamentals that made the Tigers successful last year, rather than changing things up.
