Barth steps down as Washington girls basketball head coach after 10 years: ‘One of the greatest honors’

WASHINGTON — Washington girls basketball coach Kim Barth is going out — for now — as a winner.
Barth, who has coached the Panthers for the last 10 seasons and won a Class 3A state title in March, confirmed to Clutch Sports Media on Monday that she is stepping down as the Washington head coach to spend more time with her family.
“It's just bittersweet,” Barth said. “It's hard to put into words how I feel and all the emotions that I have going on right now, but I'm doing what's best for my family.”
