The IHSA baseball season has reached the point where games can’t be taken for granted and every win can be a building block as the postseason draws a wee bit closer.
The Mid-Illini conference is still very much up for grabs with Dunlap and Morton leading the way at 7-1 in conference games, followed by East Peoria at 6-2 and Washington at 5-3. Normal Community survived a scare to stay undefeated in Big 12 play while Eureka currently leads the Heart of Illinois Conference.
This week’s CSM Central Illinois baseball power rankings may draw some surprises but the close margins among teams still remains the same at this point in the season.
