The Roundup, April 15, 2026: Meinders slugs trio of homers, several baseball powers stay hot

Rain impacted much of the Central Illinois area on Wednesday but it didn’t stop Brimfield/Elmwood softball star Schyer Meinders, who hit three home runs and drove in eight in a monster performance that led the Indians to a win.
Many of the area’s top baseball teams were in action as three Normal Community pitchers combined for a no-hitter and Tri-Valley, Dunlap, Peoria Notre Dame, Normal West and Normal U-High all rode their pitching to victories.
Bloomington Central Catholic boys and Normal U-High girls won titles at the BCC Mini-Meet. Bloomington and Metamora tennis and Washington boys lacrosse all win too.
