CSM Baseball Power Rankings: May 12, 2025: Washington, Illini Bluffs among risers after parity-filled week

Last week proved that no team is immune in Central Illinois baseball, and wins can only be celebrated for so long before needing to deliver the next day. Several top teams in the area, such as Eureka, Morton and Normal U-High experienced close losses while squads like Farmington, Illini Bluffs and Washington celebrated big wins.
Conference races are beginning to wind down, or heat up, depending on how you look at it.
Eureka secured a Heart of Illinois Crown while the margin for error in the Mid-Illini and Big 12 races thinned significantly.
Postseason brackets for Classes 1A and 2A were also released last week, meaning that small schools are playing solely for momentum in the final week of the regular season, while Class 3A and 4A schools have two weeks left before their postseason starts.
