CSM Boys Basketball Power Rankings, Jan. 12, 2026: Morton, Eureka rise after hot stretches

High school basketball is in the meat of the season and there’s still plenty of Central Illinois squads jostling for supremacy.
Last week featured multiple big conference matchups including East Peoria facing Morton and Metamora and Dee-Mack edging out Tremont. Many teams capped their weeks at various shootouts, which will provide exciting matchups against non-traditional opponents nearly each Saturday for the rest of the regular season.
Morton and Eureka jumped the most spots from last week’s CSM power rankings and Brimfield checked back into the small school top-five after a brief absence.
Teams in the Mid-Illini and the Big 12 are part of the large school rankings while area schools from any other conference are in the small school rankings.
