CSM Softball Power Rankings, May 12, 2025: Pair of Bloomington squads elevate heading into home stretch

The best are only getting better late in the year for Central Illinois softball. 

The 10 teams ranked in the latest Clutch Sports Media softball power rankings solidified their star status by going a combined 34-3 last week. One of the top spots saw another change in occupancy while East Peoria, Bloomington and Bloomington Central Catholic all moved up after strong weeks. 

Washington and Illini Bluffs overcame busy stretches with plenty of wins with the formers’ 13-5 win over the Tigers being the only loss in 13 games between the two squads last week. Several team will be similarly active this week as Class 1A and 2A schools finish out their regular season one week before Class 3A and 4A teams do likewise.
