Softball games aren’t over until the final out is recorded and several Central Illinois teams took that to heart last week in a string of thrilling victories.

Tri-Valley were the queens of the comeback, winning four conference games in exciting fashion to earn a share of the Heart of Illinois Conference crown while Class 2A counterparts Canton and Olympia won via walk-offs as well.

Brimfield/Elmwood and Dunlap pulled off key wins against last week’s No. 1 teams, cementing their status at the top of the small and large school rankings, respectively.
