EL PASO — The El Paso-Gridley Titans are off to a hot 6-0 start this season and look like a team to watch come November in the state playoffs.
Senior Haze Welsch had high praise for his teammates when asked about what has led to the undefeated start.
“In my 4 years at EPG, I’ve never had a group of guys that work this hard and so well together,” he said.
The Titans have been a consistently good program in the past four years, finishing with a winning record and making the Class 2A playoffs each time. But this year, the team has the opportunity to reach new heights already being playoff eligible and the town is rallying around them.
