CANTON — Canton’s Kash VanHouten has a saying that’s close to him. So close, in fact, that it’s essentially attached to him on the diamond.

The Little Giants star has the phrase “Remember the dream” stitched on his glove. Why?

“Since I was young, my dream is to play at the highest level I can possibly play,” VanHouten said. “When I look at that, I remember to just keep working and never be satisfied.”

Only a sophomore, VanHouten is well on his way to where he wants to be. His head coach, Mike Emery, believes he’s already the most talented pitcher that he’s ever seen come through Canton.
