Pair of No. 1 girls teams headline 13 Central Illinois squads in AP statewide rankings

A pair of Central Illinois girls basketball teams ranked No. 1 in their respective classes headline 13 teams from around the area that were either ranked or received votes in Jan. 28’s Associated Press statewide rankings. 


Washington returned to its previously-held No. 1 spot in Class 3A while Dee-Mack hung on to the top spot in Class 1A for the second straight week. 


Morton boys and Tri-Valley girls both moved up while Metamora girls received votes for the first time this year.
