Pair of siblings powering East Peoria baseball, softball into playoffs

EAST PEORIA — East Peoria diamond sports are enjoying another great season with regional championships certainly in the cards.
The Raiders’ baseball and softball teams have found success through many returning starters, two veteran head coaches and a tough Mid-Illini schedule that strengthens them.
They have four more big reasons for that as well — siblings RJ and Addison Duncheon and Jackson and Gracie Ahrens.
“We’re super tight in everything we do,” Jackson Ahrens said of him and his sister. “We go and hit together, we’ll throw BP to each other so it's great. We love to see each other succeed.”
