Rams repeat trip to state after dominating super-sectional win over Johnsburg

STERLING — The Manual Rams have advanced to the state finals for the second consecutive year, defeating Johnsburg 75-41 in the Class 2A Sterling Super-Sectional.
It marked the second consecutive year that Manual earned a decisive win in the super-sectionals, beating Williamsville 52-29 last season. After last year's 23 point victory in Springfield, it was hard to predict the Rams would be topping themselves this year.
“My team’s been counted out a lot of times all year and we’ve worked hard to show that we are worthy of the things that we deserve,” Manual head coach Marvin Jordan said. “To go back-to-back is good for us and the community, but it's good for the players.
