The Roundup, April 13, 2026: Great pitching performances abundant to kick off week

The aces were out to play on Monday with a long list of great pitching performances in baseball and softball being had all across the area. 


In baseball, Normal West’s Tanner Nolin and a pair of Tri-Valley pitchers threw no-hitters while Dunlap’s Landon Gray, East Peoria’s RJ Duncheon, Metamora’s Mason Sauder, Fieldcrest’s Drew Overocker, Normal U-High’s Cade Cunningham, Peoria Christian’s Allyn Uhler and Washington’s Isaac Perez were among others to toss gems.


Bloomington Central Catholic’s Jaelyn Moritz threw a perfect game, Dee-Mack’s Emily Stauffer had a no-hitter and Brimfield/Elmwood’s Sawyer Drury, Eureka’s Rylee Dare, Illini Bluffs’ Cora Ellison and Peoria Notre Dame’s Lexie Dallinger-Eaker stuffing their lines with great performances in softball.


Washington won big in girls soccer while Henry/Midland boys track and Peoria Christian won in girls soccer and boys tennis.
