The Roundup, April 21, 2026: Dunlap stays unbeaten in Mid-Illini softball, BCC, U-High, Pekin win in multiple sports

Tuesday was another action-packed day of softball, baseball, girls soccer, track and field and tennis across Central Illinois with conference games in softball and girls soccer headlining the day.
Dunlap won a big Mid-Illini tilt and Pekin played another one-run thriller in softball. Normal Community rallied late for a key Big 12 win and Brimfield/Elmwood, Normal U-High and Heyworth were other notable winners. Washington and IVC won non-conference baseball games.
A trio of Mid-Illini girls soccer teams stayed undefeated in conference play with Bloomington Central Catholic, Normal U-High and Peoria Notre Dame all picking up wins on the pitch as well. Dozens of area track and field teams were in action, as well as several boys tennis squads.
