The Roundup, April 23, 2024: Normal Community wins Intercity track, IB survives upset bid in softball

Early rain showers on Tuesday postponed much of the baseball and softball action, but a handful of games were still played, including Illini Bluffs winning an edge-of-your-seat conference game and Dee-Mack winning big in softball. Princeville won in both diamond sports.
A majority of the action came in track and field and girls soccer, where strong competition was had all day at the Bloomington/Normal Intercity Meet, plus a handful of Mid-Illini meets. Conference play in girls soccer saw a few big games, including Dunlap and Washington facing off.
