A strong day of pitching in baseball and softball was had on Monday with nine teams either enjoying the feeling of a shutout win or suffering a shutout loss.
Morton, Bloomington and Peoria Notre Dame all won notable baseball games while Normal U-High won on a walk-off against a solid Central State Eight opponent. Dee-Mack and Olympia were two of multiple softball teams in the area to stay hot with victories.
