Five area baseball teams secured their spots in sectional title games after winning sectional semifinals on Wednesday.
East Peoria and Brimfield/Elmwood won one-run thrillers and Normal U-High pulled out a close win of its own. Dunlap and Tremont both used strong hitting performances to pick up victories as well. Normal Community, Tri-Valley and Metamora all had their seasons come to an end.
